This comprehensive study of changing rituals among Singapore's Chinese, Malays and Indians is based on research involving the systematic documentation of all known and available works on rituals in Singapore, questionnaires filled during interviews with a selected cross-sections of Singaporeans, consultations with individuals knowledgeable in the practice of rituals in Singapore, and visits to temples, mosques, churches, shrines and homes.
